Welcome to Parkwood — the mountain town where the instruments are the townspeople. Three adventures your kids will beg to hear again (and again).
Each book is crafted to spark creativity, teach resilience, and share the joy of music — values that stay with your child long after the last page.
Written by a guitarist and dad, every story plants the idea that music is something you can do — not just something you hear. Don't be surprised if they ask for lessons.
Jackson teaches perseverance. Eklig teaches community. Santa teaches creativity. Each story plants seeds that grow long after story time ends.

Ty Miller is from a small town in southern Illinois, where time moves a little slower, the horizon stretches on forever, and the sun sets behind rows of corn.
When Ty was a kid, his imagination was always active and he began writing short spooky stories, inspired by R.L. Stine. None of those stories made it beyond his notebook, but a seed had been planted that would take a couple more decades to sprout.
At 14, Ty began playing guitar, and it has long remained his main creative outlet. Throughout high school, he faced the normal struggles of being a teenager, and playing guitar always managed to calm his mind. It was during those days that he learned the importance and positive influence that creating music could have on a kid.
Called west by the mountains and the cold Pacific Ocean, he and his wife, Amanda, moved their family to northern California. It was there that Ty combined his experience as a father with his passion for music and began writing children's books. He wanted to share the magic of music with a new generation by bringing instruments to life through entertaining stories and illustrations, while passing on good morals.
